Central administration

France

The Social Security Central Agency (L'ACOSS) is France's chief agency for collecting social security payments. It is a federation of one hundred and one Urssaf offices that are located in numerous metropolitan areas, four Social Security Funds (CGSS) overseas and eight information centers throughout France.

L'ACOSS provides active management of communial resources, and supervises daily affairs for all other social security functions.

Their Needs

In 2007, L'ACOSS sought to implement a SOA system in their network and to develop the primary services to open its information system to the Social Security for the Self Employed (RSI). After performing a thorough study on SOA system providers L'ACOSS chose Petals ESB service bus.

Our Project

Petals ESB launched directly into the heart of the L'ACOSS' system developing a program specific to the needs of the client. Part of the design included progressively integrating the COBOL application.

Today, the services we offer are utilizied regularly by partner organizations such as, RSI, FNAL, and UNEDI. The increase in services has occured without incident because of the unique capabilities of Petals ESB. These include:

  • unified structure permitting access points close to the user;
  • distribution system assuring an optimale distribution of charges and service functionability; and
  • respectful of open source standards and licences, guaranteeing the durability of the infrastructure.

In the wake of the initial project, Petals ESB has been entrusted with additional services; culminating in providing access services, at the national level, for the Document Management System (DMS).
